"PROCESS FOR PREPARING A PULVERULENT HYDROCOLOID COMPOSITION (S), PULVERULENT HYDROCOLOID COMPOSITION (S), AND USING A POTENTIALLY REACTIVE RETICULATION DUST AND A PULVERULOID COMPOSITION". The object of the present invention is a process for the preparation of a hydrocolloid powder composition (s) which has good dispersibility in aqueous medium without formation of lumps and whose hydration time can be controlled comprises the steps of preparing a potentially reactive cross-linking powder by contacting a highly absorbent carrier powder with a cross-linking agent capable of cross-linking a hydrocolloid powder (s), possibly under the effect of heat, to dry mix the said powder with a hydrocolloid powder (s), optionally treating said powder mixture with water which may contain salts, and optionally thermally treating said powder mixture. The invention is also directed to a pulverulent hydrocolloid composition (s) as cited above comprising at least one cross-linked hydrocolloid component, a residual amount of cross-linking agent of less than 1000 ppm, a carrier powder and optionally water. |
