"READY-RELEASE COATING COMPOSITION, HARDENABLE AND EDIBLE SOLID DOSAGE FORM AND METHOD FOR FORMING A READY-RELEASE, EDIBLE AND EDIBLE COATING COMPOSITION". there is presented a curable and edible coating composition, containing microcrystalline cellulose, a film-forming amount of propylene glycol alginate, and a reinforcing polymer, optionally in combination with at least a plasticizer, a surfactant, or a filler. The coating composition of the current invention can be used in solid pharmaceutical and veterinary dosage forms, confectionery, seeds, feed, fertilizers, pesticide tablets, and foods and produces an elegant, ready-to-release coating that does not delay the release of the active ingredients in the coated substrate. |
