A pyrimidine compound of the formula wherein R 1 is H, F; R ^ 2 ^ is -CH (OR ^ 3 ^) ~ 2 ~, tert-butoxycarbonyl, -CH = CH ~ 2 ~, furan-2-yl, -CHO, -COOH or a group of formula (II); R ^ 3 ^ is methyl or ethyl; R ^ 4 ^ is methyl, isopropyl, n-butyl, tert-butyl, phenyl, 1-methylcyclopropyl, benzyl, 3-methylbenzyl, 3-trifluormethylbenzyl, 3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl, <244>, <244> -dimethylbenzyl, < 244>, <244> -dimethyl-3-methylbenzyl, <244>, <244> -dimethyl-3-trifluormethylbenzyl or <244>, <244> -dimethyl-3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl; or a non-toxic salt of these. A pyrimidine compound of formula (I) or a non-toxic salt thereof is useful as an important intermediate of pharmaceutical compound and / or a pharmaceutical, mainly an elastase inhibitor. |
