titleOfInvention Process for improving the antimicrobial activity of a polymer derived from acrolein monomer, and antimicrobial polymeric compositions
abstract "PROCESS TO IMPROVE THE ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF A POLYMER DERIVED FROM ACROLEYNE MONOMER, AND POLYMERIC ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS". Process for the preparation of polymers derived from acrolein and including poly (2-propenal, 2-propenoic acid), characterized by the fact that the polymers are exposed to the presence of water, therefore, such polymers exhibit increased antimicrobial activity. Polymers can be heated in the range of 40 to 150 <198> C. Additionally, the polymers can be prepared in the presence of polyethylene glycols, polyols and / or alkanols.
