"PROTEASE INHIBITORS AND THEIR PHARMACEUTICAL USES". Where: The present invention relates to synthetic protease inhibitors having a C 2 - or pseudo C 2 - symmetry axis characterized in that they have, in the central portion: (1) preferably a dihydroxyethylene function, isosterate to a peptide bond ; (2) a peptideomimetic bridge between the two nitrogen and (3) radicals capable of mimicking amino acids. These new protease inhibitors are the basis for the preparation of antiviral formulations capable of stopping HIV virus proliferation. |
