abstract The compounds are used to treat seizures and / or neurological disorders such as epilepsy and / or as neuroprotective agents to prevent conditions such as stroke. They have a form in which n is 0 or 1, R1, R2, R6 and R7 independently represent hydrogen, R3 and R4 independently of one another denote hydrogen or methyl, or together form an imino, methylimino, phenylimino, hydroxyimino or methoxyimin; R 5 is hydrogen or methyl, or when R 3 and R 4, independently of one another, are hydrogen or methyl, R 5 is hydrogen, methyl, formyl, acetyl, propionyl, benzoyl, methylsulfinyl, methylsulfonyllyls ethylsulfonyl, R 8 is hydrogen, methyl, fluoro or chloro and R9, R10 and R11 are each independently hydrogen, provided that: R1 - R11 do not simultaneously represent H; when n is 0 and R1 - R4 and R6 - R11, independently of one another, denote H, then R5 is other than benzoyl or acetyl, and when n has a value of 0 or 1 and R1 - R3 and R5 - R11, independently of one on the other, denote H, R4 is other than methyl. The invention also relates to stereoisomers and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds and to a process for their preparation.
