titleOfInvention | Method for assessing the resistance of wheat to the mildew agent |
abstract | Te method can be applied in agriculture for determining the optimal time for the secondary fungicide application. It very quickly and accurately determines the wheat resistance to the agent causing the mildew disease. The method is effected in a greenhouse where plants in the second leaf stage of the wheat are treated with the propiconasol (Tilt 250 EC) system fungicide after with they are infested with a pure culture of mildew. The test is made in three repetitions with control of fungicide untreated plants. The evaluation of the type of infestation is made on the second day after the application of the fungicide until the appearance of the respective type of infestation, evaluated by a scale from 1 to 4. The application of the fungicide spaces out the infestation of the wheat by the mildew which increases the better recording of the character of the resistance. |
