Perforated microparticles and methods for preparing a composition thereof, as well as a powder composition comprising perforated microstructures, are preferably used in inhalation devices such as a metering inhaler, a dry powder inhaler or a nebulizer for local and systemic airway delivery. The formulations obtained are resistant, suitable for aerosol administration. The powder composition comprises a plurality of perforated microstructures which contain the active substance, have an average aerodynamic diameter of less than 5 mu m, and a bulk density of less than 0.5 g / cm3. The method of producing a composition of microparticles containing perforated microstructures by spray drying includes the steps of providing a feedstock consisting of phospholipid and calcium chloride, atomizing the feedstock to obtain dispersed capsize, containing phospholipid and calcium. |
