titleOfInvention | PLATINE COMPLEX, METHOD FOR RECEIVING AND THERAPEUTIC APPLICATION |
abstract | The invention relates to a platinum complex of formula wherein X is a halogen atom and A represents a primary tricyclic amine containing from 10 to 14 carbon atoms which may be substituted on the tricyclic ring by one or two alkyl groups containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and to a complex of said platinum complex comprising a beta- or gamma-cyclodextrin, which may be substituted by a hydroxyalkyl group containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the complex of formula I in which a solution of an alkali metal salt with aminotrihalogenplatinate (II) is reacted in a polar organic solvent or in water with the corresponding tricyclic amine at a temperature range from 0 to 100 degrees C, and to the method of obtaining the second complex. Both of these complexes can be used alone or as part of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of cancer. |
