The derivatives of L-arginine have the general formula where A is hydrogen atom, lower alkyl radical or nitrogroup, E is oxygen atom or covalent bond, n has the values of 0 or an integer from 1 to 12, and R1 & R2 are independent linear or branching alkyl radicals or together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bound, form cycles with formula (a) listed in the description, where X is oxygen, sulphur or nitrogen atom or imino-, alkylimino- or methylene radical. The compounds have inhibition biological activity on the NO-synthetase. The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of these derivatives and to pharmaceutical compositions including them. 14 claims |
