The product for smoking (1) has an aroma-generating materialas combustible component for smoking (2). The aroma-generatingmaterial includes stuff which arrests the aromatizing componentand is formed by a glucane thermoirreversibly converted into gel.The aromatizing compnent is retained in the retention material andis produced in the heat conversion into a gel of a mixture of aglucane which is not converted into gel with an aromatizingcomponent added to it.
