titleOfInvention | Process for the prepareation of polymer of alpha - olefines in solution |
abstract | The process and a catalist therefor are designed for the preparation of high molecular weight polymers of alpha -olefines solition, i.e. homopolymers of ethylene and copolymers of ethylene and C3-C12 alpha-olefines. The process is carried out as polymerization in solution at temperature from 105 to 130°C. The catalyst is obtained when an admixture of catalyst components - titanium tetrahalides, vanadium oxytrihalides and organoaluminium compounds is heat treated at temperature from 180 to 250°C. The obtained catalyst solution is activated with an aluminium compound. The catalyst has an improved activity, showing superior activity to catalysts in which no additional vanadium oxytrihalide is not added or added at temperatures above 150°C. |
