abstract | The foodstuff is used in mass prevention and therapeutic dieting in metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, gout, constipation and the vascular-degenerative complication related to them - arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, steanasis. It clears the gastrointestinal tract and improves metabolism. The product contains, in %: cereal ingredient from 10 to 90, ballast matter from 10 to 90 and flavour additive from 0 to 12, the content of total food fibres in the product ranges from 10 to 90. From 5 to 50 % of the total food fibres are insoluble. The cereal ingredient is wheat, rye, oats, barley, millet, maize, rice, triticale and mixtures thereof.
