titleOfInvention | Method for production of petroleum polymer resins |
abstract | The method is applicable in the petroleum polymeric synthesis. It reduces the number of production operations, eliminates the processes of decomposition and removal of the catalytic complex, neutralisation, and washing of the reaction mass. The method is safe and ecologically clean with preserved productivity and reduced ash content in the finished product. The method is realised through a two-stage radical polymerisation of a raw material, containing (in per cent, by weight): more than 30 polymerisation-capable unsaturated hydrocarbons and up to 5 cyclic dienes. The concentration of the initiator in the first stage is between 0.2 and 2.5 per cent and the temperature is from 333 to 393 K. In the second stage, the initiator's concentration is between 0.2 to 3.0 per cent and the temperature is from 383 to 493 K. In the end, idle hydrocarbons are distilled and the polymer melt is transferred and cooled. Benzylperoxide, monohydroperoxides of iso- and diisopropylbenzene, di-tertiary-butyl peroxide or 2,2'-azo-bis-isobutyronitrol are used as initiators. The initiator in the second stage can be the same or different from the initiator used in the first stage. |
