titleOfInvention | Method for preparing trihydroxyethyl rutin |
abstract | The emerging compound is biologically active with damaged capillaries and is appled in medicine. It has an enhanced purity. Under the method, a sodium hydroxide is hydroxiethylized with ethylene oxide in a water milieu and in the presence of a catalyst. At pH 9, the reactionary mixture is acidized to pH 8.7, after which the hydroxiethylization continues, until pH rises to 9.0 - 9.1, at which values the reaction stops and the emerging solution of trihydroxiethylrutin is acidized to pH 5.5. The emerging product is dried and recrystallized in methanol, at a proportion 5:1 between the last and the trihydroxiethylrutin. |
