titleOfInvention PROTECTIVE DEVICE
abstract The contraceptive device is used in veterinary medicine andis designed in particular for long-time contraceptive in bitches.BY surgical or non-surgical method it is introduced in the uterinecavity and guarantees long-time sterility. The design of thedevice is V-shaped and consists of two hollow arms (1) of inertmaterial fitted at an angle of 45° and ending by strongly fixedplates - copper (2) for the one arm and silver (3) for the otherarm. Arms (1) are filled with the hormone progesteron (4)obstructing the ineteraction between the ovocyte-spermatozoid andthe implantation of the foetus in the uterine wall. The device ismade of materials safe for the dogs and guarantee long-timereversible sterility by mechanical atraumatic stimulation, thepresence of a hormonal preparation and the oligodynamic anticepticeffect of the metallic plates. It prevents the dogs from anysecondary complications such as mucometra and pyometra withsubsequent hysterotomy.1 claim, 2 figures(11) 215
