abstract The invention relates to contact and intraocular lenses with functional nanocoating and to a method for their preparation, in particular to contact and intraocular lenses with functional nanocoating with antibacterial and antifungal action and a method for the production of hard contact lenses, hard optical intraocular lenses, soft contact lenses, soft optical intraocular lenses and intrastromal segments of rings to improve the refraction of the eye, which are used in the field of humanities and veterinary medicine and in particular in the field of ophthalmology. According to the method of manufacturing contact and intraocular lenses with functional nanocoating, antibacterial and antifungal coating is applied on hard contact lenses, soft contact lenses, cosmetic contact lenses, medical contact lenses, hard optical intraocular lenses, soft optical intraocular lenses, as well as in an antibacterial and antifungal coating of silver and aluminum trioxide is applied from a ring to improve the refraction of the eye by magnetron sputtering of Ag (silver) and Al (aluminum) or Al2O3 (alumina). For this purpose, a spraying target of Ag (silver) and Al2O3 (alumina) in an argon medium or a spraying target of Ag (silver) and Al (aluminum) in a mixture of oxygen and argon is used. The rigid contact lens and the rigid optical intraocular lens are a dense transparent body made of high quality plastic - polymethyl methacrylate. The soft contact lens and the soft optical intraocular lens are an elastic transparent body of various soft elastic transparent materials, such as hydroxyethyl methacrylate, hydrogel and silicone hydrogel. The intrastromal segments of semi-rings - rings to improve the refraction of the eye are a dense transparent body of high quality plastic - polymethyl methacrylate. All of them are externally with a transparent coating of nanolayer of Ag (silver) and Al2O3, (aluminum trioxide) with antibacterial and antifungal action. The coating has a great ability to prevent inflammatory processes in the eye. It has high biocompatibility, is not cytotoxic, does not disturb the design and has a suitable morphology.
