The invention relates to environmentally harmless processes and compounds for the prevention of qualitative damage and quantitative losses in propagating material and food products during all stages of storage and handling, including before and after harvesting, before and after planting, during distribution and marketing conversion. Processes and compounds can be used to prevent growth and germination to improve the fertility of certain types of propagation material. They can also be used to eliminate or reduce harmful organisms and substances in the soil, other plant media and substrates, equipment, materials, workplaces and areas. |
