abstract A process for the preparation of asymmetric esters of 2,6-dimethyl-4- (3'-nitrophenyl) -1,4-dihydro-3,5-pyridine-dicarboxylic acid (I) is described, characterized in that transesterification is carried out between an alcohol R1OH and a symmetrical ester of 2,6-dimethyl-4- (3'-nitrophenyl) -1,4-dihydro-3,5-pyridine-dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a molar excess of the latter. The prepared products have pharmacological properties.
