titleOfInvention HYBRID PLASMIDS THAT REPLICATE IN BACTERIA AND YEASTS AND MICROORGANISMS TRANSFORMED USING THESE PLASMIDES.
abstract Hybrid plasmids capable of transforming bacteria and yeasts. These plasmids carry the Cm gene (resistance to chloramphenicol) and the Tc gene (resistance to tetracycline) as selection markers. The Cm gene makes it possible to select the plasmids in wild yeast strains, in particular Saccharomyces cerevisae. The Tc gene makes it possible to select, in bacteria, in particular Escherichia coli, the heterologous genes cloned in the plasmids.
