Title cpds. are of formula (I): (where R1 is H, 1-4 C alkyl, 2.4C alkenyl, aralkyl contg. 1 or 2C in the alkyl moiety R2 is 1-4C alkyl; Y is CO or CHR3 and R3 is H, 1-3C alkyl or Ph (or PlCH2). (I) are prepd. by reacting a 5-(2-hydroxy-3-alky(amino) propoxy-3,4-dihydro-carbostryl with R3CHO or COCl2. Thus (I.R1 = H1R2,t-Bu, Y is CH2) is prepd. from HCHO and 5, -(2-hydroxy-3-t-butyl)amino)-propoxy-3,4-dihydro-carbostyryl. |
