abstract Dye compositions are prepd. by (a) at least partly oxidising one or more oxidation bases, opt. in the presence of one or more couplers for the base, in an alkaline medium, pref. ammonia, and (b) freeze drying or spray drying the soln. contg. the reaction mixt. at =60 degrees C. Used for dyeing human hair. The dye compositions give uniformly dyed hair, and are safe to use than the dye solns. from which they are prepd. A wide range of oxidation bases can be used.
