abstract | The present invention relates to a composition for killing arthropods and their eggs, such as lice or ticks and nits. More particularly, the invention provides a composition for killing arthropods, said composition comprising at least 65% by weight of a mixture of saturated linear or branched hydrocarbons, said hydrocarbons being a mixture of saturated linear or branched C10 -C16 hydrocarbons and saturated linear or branched C17-C25 hydrocarbons wherein the ratio by weight of saturated linear or branched C10-C16 hydrocarbons to saturated linear or branched C17-C25 hydrocarbons is less than 15:85. The invention further relates to the use of such a composition for killing arthropods and to a method for killing arthropods comprising the use of the present composition. |
