titleOfInvention BIOBANK AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING THIS BIOBANK
abstract The present invention concerns a biobank for archiving Eimeria species isolates, wherein each isolate comprises one characterized Eimeria species and wherein each isolate is obtained by purifying Eimeria oocysts from fecal samples, isolating a single Eimeria oocyst from the purified sample and multiplying this single isolated Eimeria oocyst in vivo, verifying the quality of the isolate by a molecular diagnostic technique before archiving the isolate in the biobank. The present invention also relates to a use of a biobank and a method for maintaining a biobank.
