abstract The present invention relates to milk of lime comprising: - at least 40% by weight of dry matter consisting of hydrated lime; - 0.1 to 3% by dry weight of carbohydrate dispersants selected from the group of monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides, their alkoxidized form and their derivatives obtained by oxidation or hydrogenation, - 0.1 to 3% by dry weight of a dispersant of the family of polycarboxylic polyether copolymers obtained by the copolymerization of ethylenic unsaturated monomers having between 15 and 100 moles of C2-C3 oxyalkylene groups and ethylenic unsaturated monomers of mono or dicarboxylic acids, and / or their salts and / or their alkyl esters C1-C4 in which the proportion between the carbohydrate type dispersant and the copolymer type dispersant is between 5: 1 and 1: 1 and preferably 3: 1 and 1: 1; the distribution of hydrated lime particles being characterized by: - at least 99% of the particles having a size of less than 100 μm, preferably 75 μm; - at least 75% of the particles having a size greater than 1.2 µm.
