CATALYST BODY AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME |
abstract |
The invention is able to provide a catalyst body capable of efficiently providing a catalytic reaction with a required minimum amount of catalyst and exhibiting high catalytic performance at moderate cost. According to the invention, a catalytic component can be directly deposited on the surface of a ceramic substrate, and the catalytic component is directly deposited on a ceramic support 11 having a honeycomb structure which has multiple cells 2 delimited by a cell wall 3.90% or more of the catalytic component is deposited on an outer layer 4 of the cell wall 3, for example, the part from the surface to a depth of 30um or less, so as to reduce the amount of catalytic component which does not contribute to the scrub reaction and decrease the cost of the catalyst. |
