titleOfInvention | Receptors gaba-b. |
abstract | A method of searching for compounds that modify the properties of polypeptides that exert the biological activity of a GABA-B receptor, comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a host cell containing a nucleotide acid comprising a nucleotide sequence that encodes for a polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence which has an identity of at least 70% with a sequence according to SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4 or SEQ ID: 6 b) cell culture host in the presence of a chemical compound or a sample that includes a number of chemical compounds, and c) detection of modified properties. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said nucleic acid consists of a cDNA or genomic DNA fragment. Process according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said nucleic acid comprises a nucleotide which corresponds to a sequence according to SEQ ID NO: 5. Process according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said nucleic acid hybridizes under rigorous conditions to a nucleotide sequence according to SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3 or SEQ ID NO: 5. |
