abstract The invention relates to a method for producing polylactide, the steps for producing and purifying lactide from an aqueous solution of lactic acid or lactic acid derivatives include: evaporation with formation of oligomers, depolymerization of the oligomers, a condensation then a crystallization of the crude lactide, an aqueous treatment of the residual fractions and a polymerization of lactide into polylactide, in an extruder and in the presence of catalysts.
