titleOfInvention | OXIDIZED LDL FRACTIONS, PROCESS FOR OBTAINING AND USE FOR DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSE. |
abstract | The invention relates to compositions consisting of one or more fractions of low density lipoproteins (LDL) obtained by in vitro oxidation of native LDL by hydrogen peroxide or the glucose / glucose oxidase couple, in the presence of myeloperoxidase. these compositions are obtained by chromatography, in particular by Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) type chromatography and are purified by immunoaffinity. Monoclonal antibodies directed against the B and C / D fractions of oxidized LDL have been isolated and used for diagnostic purposes, for example for the assay of oxidized LDL or the corresponding autoantibodies, or for the study of the oxidation sensitivity of Native LDL in patients. These antibodies can also be used to treat the blood or blood fractions of a patient and to withdraw a fraction of oxidized LDL, for example on an immunoabsorption column, before being returned to the patient. |
