titleOfInvention | Fuel shipping container and method for carrying fuel assembly. |
abstract | In a transport container (10) for nuclear fuel, a nacelle (11,12) has a nacelle cavity (13) which includes at least two adjacent interior side walls (13s1,13s3) intended to cover a fuel assembly (35) to house the fuel assembly in the nacelle cavity. The fuel assembly is directly housed in the nacelle cavity. The fuel assembly housed in the nacelle cavity is slid by offset means (14,15) in the direction of the two adjacent inner side walls of the latter (13s1,13s3), without pushing the fuel assembly (35), by deporting thanks to this the fuel assembly thus housed so that the fuel assembly is in contact with the two adjacent inner side walls of the nacelle cavity. |
