The invention relates to a new copolyester elastomer mainly composed of A: hard polyester segments, composed of repeating units derived from an aliphatic diol and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and B: soft polyester segments, composed of repeating units derived from B1: an aliphatic carbonate and optionally up to 60 wt. % of B, B2: an aliphatic diol and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid or B3: a lactone, said hard and soft segments are bound via ester bonds to copolyester units and these copolyester units are linked by a urethane group. The new copolyester elastomer has an exceptionally high thermoxidative and hydrolysis resistance and can be used in bellows, seals, pipes, hoses and cable jackets, among others. |
