titleOfInvention | Method for rayon fiber production. |
abstract | Process for the production of rayon fibers. The viscose solution is spun in an acidic spinning bath, but containing no zinc salt like conventional baths. The spinning bath contains sulfuric acid, aluminum sulfate and sodium sulfate. The spinning takes place at temperatures between 35 and 60 degrees C. The drawing and the usual operations after spinning are carried out if necessary. The regenerated cellulose fibers thus obtained have new cross sections, namely a C-shaped cross section which had never been reached before. The fibers have improved luster and softness. |
