Process for recovering interesting amounts of titanium from a complex matrix comprising titanium nitride, this process comprising chlorination of titanium nitride from the matrix in order to obtain a reaction product containing titanium chloride, and the separation of this titanium chloride from the reaction product, the invention also encompassing the production of such a complex matrix containing titanium nitride, by nitriding of the titanium of interest found in complex starting materials containing titanium, such as complex metallurgical titaniferous slags and ilmenity, perovskite, armalcolite and fassaite. |
