titleOfInvention SEPARATION OF ISOMERS OF FURO (3,4-C) PYRIDINE DERIVATIVES.
abstract Method for separating stereoisomers of hydroxy-7-furo [3,4-c] pyridine derivatives of formula in which R3, R4 and R6 represent different substituents which consists in causing a completely O-acetylated monosaccharide halide to act on the racemic mixture of the hydroxy-7-furo [3,4-c] pyridine derivative, to form the (+) and (-) of the O-acetylated monosaccharide ether and the furo [3,4- c] pyridine yl-7, then to separate the ethers (+) and (-) by a selective christallization, in hydroalcoholic medium, of the acetylated forms or deacetylated corresponding forms and, finally, to treat each of these separated derivatives by conventional methods .
