This invention relates to a humidification system comprising a heater base, a nhumidification chamber, and a circuit. The humidification chamber is configured nto hold a volume of liquid comprising a side wall, a top wall connected to the side nwall and an inlet and an outlet extending through at least one of the top wall and nthe side wall and a gas flow path defined within the humidification chamber nbetween the inlet and the outlet. At least one of the side wall and the top wall ncomprises a first portion which is configured to allow for increased heat loss from ngases in the gas flow path compared to a second portion of at least one of the nside wall and the top wall such that heat loss from the gases in the gas flow path ncan lower a temperature of the gases. The first portion of at least one of the side nwall and the top wall comprises a material having a thermal conductivity higher nthan the second portion and is configured to be above a normal water operating nlevel in use.nWO2013/147623 PCT/NZ2O13/0641054 n1/15 nIn nN n/ nN nN nN n~1 ~ nN N nN -IInNI N n$ -- N nN nN n1~N ~ nN N nIn nN |
