abstract The technical field is surface disinfectants and hand nsanitizers for combatting contact infection spread. The nsurface disinfectant overcomes the problem of immediately nkilling a broad range of microbes on a surface and nthereafter protecting that surface for 30 days and is ncomprised of 0.20% (w/w) to about 1.00% (w/w) nbenzalkonium chloride; 0.25% (w/w) to about 3.00% (w/w) nhydrogen peroxide; 0.25% (w/w) to about 0.75% (w/w) 3n(tri-methoxysilyl)propyldimethyl octadecyl ammonium nchloride and 95.25% (w/w) to about 99.30% deionized nwater. The hand sanitizer overcomes the problem of nsanitizing hands against a broad range of microbes for 24 nhours and is comprised of 0.05% (w/w) to about 0.20% n(w/w) benzalkonium chloride; 0.20% (w/w) to about 0.50% n(w/w) 3-(tri-methoxysilyl)propyldimethyl octadecyl nammonium chloride; 0.25% (w/w) to about 0.75% (w/w) nphenoxyethanol and 98.55% (w/w) to about 99.5% (w/w) ndeionized water. The two can work together to safeguard a ncommunity from contact infection spread.
