titleOfInvention Power over ethernet led light fixtures
abstract The LED light fixtures of the present invention described herein are nweatherproof. They can be used outdoors and even hosed down with water nand water and dust and other particular matter will not ingress the lamp fixture, ndamaging the internal components. Ratings of between IP56 and IP68 are ngenerally sufficient for the ports and enclosures to ensure they meet this ncriteria. The enclosures are also impact resistant to a rating of IK10. nWeatherproof and impact resistant casings are commercially available and ninclude grommets, gaskets and other means of securing casing and protecting nthe components from impacts. In one embodiment a non-maintained POE LED nlight fixture (300) is housed in an IP67 weatherproof enclosure (302) so that the nlight fixture can be used outdoors and within the harsh environment of a nbuilding site. Enclosure (302) has IP67 rated RJ45 plug (304) for receiving a npowering Ethernet connection and a second RJ45 plug (306) for daisychaining nthe next light fitting. In between the two RJ-45 plugs is an Ethernet T adaptor n(308) and a span of Ethernet cable (310). The second Ethernet connection ncoming out of T adaptor (308) is passed to POE splitter (312) which strips out nthe DC current over a pair of low voltage wires and passes the power to LED nstrips (314).n2/6 n350 302 n35231 n308 3306 n304 308 Fig. 5 n350 354 n356 308 356 n350 350 350 n356 n350 nFig. 6 Fig. 7 n300 n300 354 300 300 n,,,300Fig. 8
