abstract This invention provides method for determining antioxidant content in nlubricating oil by using linear sweep voltammetry, belonging to technical field of nelectrochemical detection. The method of this invention comprises the following nsteps: Adding ethanol solution with known antioxidant concentration into nelectrolyte, measuring the processed electrolyte with linear sweep voltammetry to nobtain its variation of positive volt-ampere characteristics, calculating characteristic npeak area, establishing working curve between antioxidant concentration and ncharacteristic peak area, extracting new lubricating oil with known antioxidant ncontent and lubricating oil with unknown antioxidant content with ethanol, adding nsupernatant into electrolyte, measuring with linear sweep voltammetry to obtain its nvariation of positive volt-ampere characteristics and calculating characteristic peak narea, the method with unknown antioxidant content can be obtained by substituting nthe characteristic peak area of known antioxidant into the working curve to obtain nthe correction coefficient of lubricating oil with this antioxidant.
