METHOD TO MEASURE CYTOTOXIC EFFECT OF DIFFERENT FRACTIONS nOF KYDIA CALYCINA USING VARIOUS HUMAN CANCER CELL CULTURES nAspects of the present disclosure relate to method (100) for measuring the cytotoxic effect n5 (108) of different fraction ofkydia calycina. Kydia calycina is distributed in Himalayas from nthe Indus eastwards to Myanmar and in peninsular India from Maharashtra and Madhya nPradesh, principally in mixed, moist, deciduous forests. The leaves were alternate, 7.5- 15 ncm long and wide, usually 3-7 lobed, apex angled or rounded, base cordate, palmate 7nnerved, hoary-tomentose beneath, and petioles 2.5-5 cm. The leaves are applied to relieve n10 body pains, lumbago and arthritis, a poultice of the leaves is used to treat skin diseases. The nK. calycina methanolic leaf extract was reported to having analgesic, anti-inflammatory and nhepatoprotective activity. Hence, the present method (100) evaluated the cytotoxic effects n(108) of different leaf fractions of K. calycina using various human cancer cell cultures, in nvitro. n15 (FIG. 1 will be the reference figure) n- 14 -niippriCan name; rage 1 01'+ n100 102 ncollection ofK. calycina leaves n104 npreparation of extracts ncollection of plurality of Human cells 106 n108 nmeasuring the cytotoxic effect nFIG. 1 Flowchart for the method for measuring the cytotoxic effect of different fractions of nkydia calycina using various human cancer cell cultures. n1 |
