abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid collagenase solution that preconditions the tissues covering peritoneal tumours by means of washing with the solution for a determined time period and at a pre-determined concentration, for use as an enhancing or adjuvant treatment for cytotoxic drugs in the treatment of solid peritoneal tumours. The solution of the invention is used for direct administration or irrigation onto the tumour at a concentration and for a time period that causes a reduction of the mesothelial layer covering the intestinal tract, without damaging intermediate or internal layers. |
