abstract | The present invention relates to a method for preparing a synergistic carrier with an alginic acid for slowing urea conversion. The preparation method includes preparing an organic extractant of an alginic acid, preparing an alginic acid extract and preparing a synergistic carrier with the alginic acid. After combined with a urea, the synergistic carrier with the alginic acid significantly slows the decomposition, release and conversion of the urea. Compared with a commercial urea, the synergistic carrier with the alginic acid increases the residual urea rate by 90%. In addition, the synergistic carrier with the alginic acid slows the urea release through affecting the fertisphere process of urea conversion. Compared with the commercial urea, the synergistic carrier with the alginic acid reduces the fertisphere soil pH within 1 cm by 0.3-1.1 units. The synergistic carrier with the alginic acid increases the fresh weight and activity of a wheat root by 54.9% and 36.3% on average, respectively, and increases the fresh weight and activity of a maize root by 38.5% and 26.7%, respectively. |
