titleOfInvention | A Structural Laminated Post |
abstract | Described herein is a structural laminated post, the post manufactured from a combination of nshooks, the shooks having a generally planar shape with opposing ends and a width, the shooks nbeing laminated together about their planar surfaces to collectively form the post shape, the npost further comprising an above ground portion and an in-ground portion. In one aspect, at nleast the external surface of the in-ground portion of the post is chemically sealed. In an nalternative aspect, the shooks of the above ground and in-ground portions are adhered ntogether using at least one common adhesive and no sealing is required. Methods of nmanufacturing the posts are also described. The configurations described provide a structural nlaminated post for in ground applications for strength and longevity that meets code of ncompliance. n22n2 n105 n-- 10 n4 nFIGURE 2 n2/3 |
