titleOfInvention Systems and methods for transcutaneous direct current block to alter nerve conduction
abstract The present invention relates generally to attenuating or blocking nerve conduction. The systems and nmethods described herein can be used to alter the uninhibited nerve conduction that causes bladder ndysfunction, autonomic dysfunction, pain, and/or spasmodic muscle contractions in a patient affected nwith a neurological disorder. More specifically, the present invention relates to systems and methods nfor transcutaneous application of direct current (DC) to attenuate or block nerve conduction. The DC ncan be applied transcutaneously between at least two surface electrodes geometrically configured on na patient's skin so as to direct the flow of the DC in a direction sufficient to attenuate or block the ntransmission of action potentials in a target nerve.nWO 2017/044542 PCT/US2016/050643 n1/12 nI-nCC 00 n1nCr nw nLLL no c nO LL nu.. nCOU w nw
