The invention further relates to a method of producing said mechanical wound cleansing device. The invention final relates to the use of said wound cleansing device for the abrasive removal of and cleansing of wounds, especially for venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers (neuropathic and neuro-ischemic), arterial ulcers, mixed etiology ulcers, pressure ulcers or traumatic wounds.
