abstract There is provided herein a spectrum analyser and a method of operation thereof which is able to receive and analyse interference signals in a way that is substantially immune to sporadic interferences, allowing for more accurate detection of the interferences of the surrounding electromagnetic environment and therefore the more accurate setting of communication equipment operational parameters accordingly including receiving frequency and selectivity. In embodiments, the present spectrum analyser is able to detect three or more sources of powerful interference.
