The accelerator powder comprises 10 to 99.7 wt% of a water-insoluble mineral powder P and 0.3 to 90 wt% of at least one compound V, selected from the group consisting of alkali and alkaline-earth halides, alkali and alkaline-earth nitrates, alkali and alkaline-earth nitrites, alkali and alkaline-earth thiocyanates and hydroxyalkylamines or salts thereof, and mixtures thereof.
