Abstract The invention relates to a communicating, namely connected, gas distribution outlet comprising an outlet body, a gas flow rate control system, a fluidic oscillation flow meter, signal processing means and at least one telecommunications module electrically connected to the signal processing means and configured to wirelessly transmit one or more measurement signals coming from the signal processing means to at least one communications network, the said at least one communications module comprising at least one radio modem associated with at least one transmitting/receiving antenna. Use of a communicating gas distribution outlet according to the invention to distribute a gas within a hospital building, particularly oxygen, air or nitrous oxide (N 20).
