abstract | Abstract The invention describes a treatment method for treating finned fish and shellfish. Shellfish are especially preferred and the treatment of crayfish, lobsters and mussels is described in detail. The fish are treated using chlorite and the chlorite is filtered through the fish. The treatment results in an enhancement of health of the fish and an improved appearance and taste. The treatment also assists during transport of the fish because it provides better tasting fish after transportation has occurred. |
