H: \aar\lnterwoven\NRPortbl\DCCAAR\100366731.docx-22/04/2016 Disclosed are: a method for evaluating the developmental toxicity of a chemical substance; and others. The method comprises: (1) a first step of measuring the expression level of at least one gene selected from a gene having any one of the nucleotide sequences depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:78 and SEQ ID NO:101 to SEQ ID NO:230 and an orthologous gene thereof in a sample derived from a non-human mammal individual or a mammalian cell which has been contacted with a chemical substance of interest; and (2) a second step of comparing a measurement value of the expression level of the gene in the sample obtained in the first step with a reference value for the expression level of the gene and evaluating the level of the developmental toxicity of the chemical substance in the sample based on the difference between the measurement value and the reference value. |
