abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a mechanoluminescent material which has excellent mechanoluminescent properties and can achieve sufficient luminous intensity for practical use applications; a raw material composition for providing the mechanoluminescent material; and a method for producing a mechanoluminescent material. The mechanoluminescent material according to the present invention is mainly composed of strontium aluminate and contains a Eu ion and at least one ion selected from the group consisting of a Nd ion, a Dy ion and a Ho ion, wherein the amount of the Eu ion contained in the mechanoluminescent material is 0.0001 to 0.1 mole per 1 mole of the above-mentioned strontium aluminate and the amount of the at least one ion selected from the group consisting of the Nd ion, the Dy ion and the Ho ion contained in the mechanoluminescent material is 0.0001 to 0.01 mole in terms of the total amount of the three kinds of ions, i.e., the Nd ion, the Dy ion and the Ho ion, per 1 mole of the above-mentioned strontium aluminate. Also provided are: a raw material composition for a mechanoluminescent material, which can be used for the synthesis of the above-mentioned mechanoluminescent material; and applied products such as a mechanoluminescent coating composition containing the mechanoluminescent material, a resin composition containing the mechanoluminescent material and a mechanoluminescent material formed from the resin composition. |
